Become a Court Monitor and Win Prizes!

February is here and although snow is still piled high on Spokane roadsides, we’re already planning for June! Hoopfest weekend is only possible with the support of our many volunteers. In fact, volunteers play such a crucial role that sign-ups are already underway.

Why do we need Court Monitors? The Court Monitor experience is like no other! You keep the games running smoothly, friendly and on time. And, by volunteering the entire weekend, Court Monitors provide consistency for the teams playing on each court.

What is the time commitment? The time commitment for Hoopfest 2017 is all day Saturday and Sunday.

What do Court Monitors get? Each year, Hoopfest provides a Nike hat, T-shirt, shorts and shoes. This year, to show our gratitude for our Court Monitors who work with us the whole weekend, we’re offering even more…

  • A Fan Cave Package including a 65″ 4K Smart LED TV w/ HDR and a Klipsch R10B Soudbar courtesy of Huppin’s
  • Two-night stay at the Davenport during Hoopfest weekend
  • Free Uber rides during the weekend of Hoopfest
  • $300 gift certificate at Northern Quest Spa courtesy of DCT Controls

The sooner you sign up, the higher chance you have of winning one of the four options. Court monitors who apply earlier get entered into the raffle more times!

  • February applicants – 100x
  • March applicants – 50x
  • April applicants – 25x
  • May applicants – 10x

The raffle drawing will take place on June 1st. You must fulfill the duties of the full weekend to receive the prize packages.

Sign up to be a Court Monitor today to ensure a weekend with us and your name in the raffle! Contact Chad Smith at with any further questions.

Thanks in advance for your willingness to spend the weekend with us. Hoopfest 2017 will be another fun weekend to remember with your help!

Thanks for your question and interest in being a Court Monitor! We have several wonderful team members that come from around the country to help us out with this endeavor. Ideally, while we’d like people to attend prior to Hoopfest for a training session, we understand that people are coming in from all over to volunteer, and so we do provide a last minute training session on Friday, June 23rd in our office from 5:30 – 6:30 PM. Where are you coming from? Feel free to follow up with any additional questions to Chad Smith at If you would like to go ahead and sign up, please follow the link at:

      Thanks so much!

      Hi Erika,

Thanks so much for your message! While we are in need of great volunteers around the board – this specific incentive program is slotted for Court Monitors. But don’t worry, we have some fun incentives for our Marshals as well. Looking forward to having you on our team again. See you in the office soon 🙂

      Thanks so much!
