Buck & Affiliates Busy in the Community

Here at Hoopfest, we do our best to stay plugged into the community on a year-round basis. Similarly, Buck & Affiliates Insurance, one of our long-time sponsors, is also busy 365 days of the year getting involved in the community.

Buck & Affiliates has been serving the Inland Northwest since 1982. They work hard to meet customer’s every need. Their goal is to offer the most coverage at the lowest price by utilizing all discounts available to each individual person. While they take pride in providing personal, one on one customer service, they also take pride in the organizations they stay involved with throughout the year.

The three organizations they are most involved with are Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest Food bank and Toys for Tots.

Habitat for Humanity is anchored around the dedication to ending the cycle of poverty housing. While Habitat is focused on building hope, Second Harvest Food Bank focuses on feeding hope. Second Harvest brings community resources together to feed roughly 55,000 people per week through empowerment, education and partnerships. Lastly, the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program’s goal is to collect toys and distribute them to those who would not have had a Christmas.

While each organization is unique and special in their own ways, Britney Quinn Bozanich, an account executive at Buck & Affiliates, says that for her one of them stands out from the rest.

“At Habitat for Humanity you’re allowed to work side by side with the person you’re building the home for. They are required to contribute a certain amount of hours as well. You’re able to see where your efforts are going towards and that’s really cool.”

Because Hoopfest and Buck & Affiliates are so likeminded, Britney said the decision to sponsor Hoopfest was easy. “It brings a lot of money to the city of Spokane and promotes activity in the community which is really great. It’s good to contribute to your community, stay relevant, feel like a valued member of the community, give back and contribute.”

“It’s a privilege to be sponsored by a company like Buck & Affiliates,” says Hoopfest’s Executive Director, Matt Santangelo. “Community involvement is foundational to us at Hoopfest and it’s great to see other companies do the same.”
