Here at Hoopfest, we’re all about the creation of fun, unique community events. With Hoopfest right around the corner, we’re all hands on deck, including working closely with our sponsors, to host another great tournament weekend. We enjoy partnering with organizations that are interested in not only helping us elevate Hoopfest, but also elevate the Spokane community. This year, Inlander is in its first season as a Hoopfest Major Sponsor and is the Official Print Sponsor for Hoopfest 2017, but is not new to being active in our community.
“We are a family owned newspaper and have been publishing the Inlander since 1993 with a focus on all things local,” explains Kristina Smith, the Marketing Director for Inlander. Today, the newspaper has become the region’s foremost authority on arts, entertainment and events, as well as a respected source for award winning, in-depth local news and commentary. Over the years, Inlander has added publications and events that enhance our community, including InHealth Magazine, Annual Manual Magazine, Inlander Restaurant Week, Inlander Winter Party and Volume Inlander Music Festival.
The Inlander’s dedication to the enhancement of Spokane is similar to the Hoopfest mindset. As the Official Print Sponsor, Inlander and Hoopfest will be collaborating to create the Official 2017 Event Guide. Maps, event info and special features will be included to help out Hoopfesters.
“We are so excited for this partnership with the Inlander,” says Bailee Neyland, Hoopfest’s Director of Brand Strategy and Business Development. “The Inlander team has the level of commitment, creativity and collaboration needed to help us take our Hoopfest event to the next level. From their help with designs and ads, to our customized Hoopfest 2017 Event Guide, we will ensure that our Hoopfesters coming downtown for the weekend – from near and far – will be well-informed on all things not to miss during their time at Hoopfest and Spokane.”
“Inlander has always been about community, and there’s no event more focused on community than Spokane Hoopfest. When the opportunity to partner with Hoopfest came up, it was a great fit and easy yes for the Inlander,” Smith expresses. “We look forward to helping Hoopfesters navigate the event and our great city.”
While we’re excited about the possibilities of our partnership with the Inlander, we’re equally as excited to tell Hoopfesters everywhere about their event, the Volume Inlander Music Festival.
The Volume Inlander Music Festival is an annual music spectacle that showcases bands from the Pacific Northwest. Since its beginning in 2010 as a “music extravaganza,” Volume has grown into a downtown block party.
This year, Volume is presenting 100 bands, nine venues and one outdoor stage right here, in downtown Spokane. “At its heart, Volume is about exploration — discovering new music while wandering our increasingly vibrant downtown core — and highlights the Inland Northwest’s growing creative community,” Smith describes. Check out Volume’s website here for more information.
Inlander and Hoopfest are excited to positively impact the Spokane community together through this partnership and our events.
If you want to hear some of our region’s talent, attend the Volume Inlander Music Festival June 2nd and 3rd.
