Here at Hoopfest, we are constantly looking to make changes and adjustments that tailor to our ever-changing world. Technology is a key factor in this. For us, we use technology for our registration, promotion, social media and so much more.

These changes, much like other advancements we’ve made at Hoopfest, couldn’t have been done without the help of our wonderful volunteers.

Meet Beth Worthy and Bart Sanborn, the masterminds behind our incredible, new website.

“Bart Sanborn created the design you see and I turned the design into the website,” says Worthy. “It was really a combination of a few of the designs but the main goal was to simplify the website a bit and just give it a fresh look.”

Worthy, who has been designing websites since 2004, has always felt an affinity towards Hoopfest. “I love Hoopfest,” she says. “My family has played for years and I love the sense of community and sportsmanship of that weekend. It is fantastic.”

Sanborn, who has been on taping committee for years, expressed similar sentiments.

“Growing up I played a lot of basketball and Hoopfest was always one of those things that I looked forward to every year,” he says. “Being able to give a little something back is pretty rewarding. … It’s pretty amazing to see how far it’s come.”

Is volunteer registration open? Maybe if no, that is part of the problem.
