Community Guidelines

The Spokane Hoopfest Association supports sportsman-like conduct both on and off the courts. Your participation in online Hoopfest-related forums, acknowledges that you will follow these guidelines for the benefit of our participants, community partners, volunteers, staff and stakeholders.

Be a team player.

We think competition is a good thing. We believe respect is even greater. Your viewpoint may be one of thousands among the numerous players, friends and family, and spectators. Keep them in mind with your comments and choice of words, paying special attention to appropriate use of language. Defamatory or threatening remarks will not be tolerated.

Keep your head in the game.

It’s easy to get distracted. Keep your comments focused on the topic and avoid making assumptions. And please don’t substitute spam or business solicitations for suitable conversation.

Show your true colors.

You want teammates that are honest, trustworthy and have integrity. And you want to play against teams that are too. Speak only on your behalf or for others who have authorized you to do so. Be forthcoming about your position and don’t mislead others.

Monitors on and off the courts: Moderation of posts, comments and users.

The Spokane Hoopfest Association provides these online forums for the benefit of our community. Any user not abiding by these guidelines may result in having their posts or comments moderated, and are thus subject to editing, hiding and deleting of content. Those who frequently or maliciously violate these guidelines may be ejected from the game.
