Eastern Washington Elite closes out summer with final tournament in Vegas

Many dedicated athletes are familiar with the phrase “If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.” Hoopfest’s Eastern Washington Elite (EWE) teams have rosters full of young hoopers willing to rise up to that challenge.

Summer 2017 was packed with local and national basketball tournaments. From Spokane to Bellevue, and Anaheim to Vegas, EWE has definitely been traveling (like around the nation, not like an illegal move in basketball.) This past week, the seven EWE teams flew to sunny California for the Double Pump Best of Summer Tournament.

Top nationally ranked teams from all over gathered in The American Sports Center to compete. Our EWE teams showed well and displayed their skills, teamwork and grit to fans and college recruits. Take a look at how each team did in their division:

With Anaheim in their rearview mirrors, the EWE teams are now headed to the Entertainment Capital of the World to have some fun on the court and do some entertaining of their own for those in the crowd. If you’re interested in being on one of our Eastern Washington Elite teams next season, check out this blog story we wrote awhile back on the Fitz Signature High School Boys Clinic to get some more information.

Good luck to all seven of our Eastern Washington Elite squads in the Las Vegas Classic Summer Basketball Tournament! Hoopfest is rooting you on from Spokane.
