Inland Northwest Toyota Dealers have been a great partner to Spokane Hoopfest since 1995. Formerly Inland Empire Toyota, this Hoopfest Major Sponsor runs 27 dealerships across Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Alaska. “Toyota continues to come back each year because they love being a part of the largest community event in the region, as well as the family atmosphere that Hoopfest cultivates,” says Toyota’s President, Eric Hixon.
With over 250,000 players and fans enjoying downtown Spokane, “It would be impossible to have the same level of brand exposure that Hoopfest offers Toyota at other single-day events,” explains Hixon.
Toyota’s noble involvement in the community stems from their belief in serving the community they live and work in, building strong relations through corporate sponsorships and cultivating a healthy business environment.
“Athletic events represent the spirit of the community in which they are played, which is why Toyota is proud to continue supporting athletic events that maintain the health and wellness of greater Spokane.”
At Hoopfest, Toyota is known for their iconic half court shootoff contest. Contestants have the chance of winning a brand new car by sinking the long distance shot. This year a 2016 Toyota Prius is up for grabs.
“100% of the funds collected at Hoopfest through the Toyota Shootoff are donated,” says Hixon. Special Olympics Washington, Spokane Hoopfest’s Outdoor Basketball Court Program and St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute are just a few of the programs Spokane Hoopfest Association, as a 501(c)3 non-profit, support.
It is sponsors like Toyota, that help create such a great weekend and we cannot imagine our event without their presence and partnership.
Hoopfest is proud of the Inland Northwest Toyota Dealer’s company values of improvement, learning and innovation. Come by the Rotary Fountain in Riverfront Park this Hoopfest to showcase your skills and potentially walk away with the new Prius. The competition starts on Thursday—we can’t wait to see you there!
