Learn more about her story and experience interning with Hoopfest here:
What are your future career plans?
My plans after I graduate are to continue my basketball career overseas. I am currently in the process of choosing an agent right now.
Outside of school, what do you enjoy doing?
Other than playing basketball and working out. I enjoy hanging out with family and friends. Also, I am a huge outdoor recreation fanatic. I love camping, hiking, biking and whitewater rafting.
Any unusual skills or talents?
I would like to think that I am a very talented hip-hop dancer.
How did you first hear about Hoopfest?
Being from the area, Hoopfest weekend has been a big part of my life. No matter what I had going on Hoopfest was and is always blocked off on my calendar.
Have you ever been to Hoopfest before? Played? Volunteered?
When I was younger, I participated in Hoopfest every summer. Once I got more into basketball and the AAU scene I wasn’t allowed to play anymore. But I have always made an effort to show up and support other friends and family participating in Hoopfest.
Why did you choose to intern with Hoopfest?
A lot of Men’s and Women’s GU players have interned here and have said nothing but positives about the organization and their experience. Having seen the end results of Hoopfest I thought it would be a great opportunity to see how its run from start to finish.
What has been your favorite part since starting your internship with Hoopfest?
My favorite part so far has been the people and the atmosphere here in the Hoopfest office. I have only been here one week and I feel as though I am a part of the Hoopfest team.
