What are your future plans?
I would like to work in the NBA or in professional sports, in either the marketing or operations departments. Really any position that involves professional sports would be awesome.
Outside of school, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy playing all types of sports and doing anything outdoors. I like to fish and hike as well. I also enjoy hanging out with friends.
How did you first hear about Hoopfest?
I have lived in Spokane all my life, so I heard about it at a fairly young age. As early as second grade, I remember friends starting to play and that is when I first became familiar with Hoopfest.
Have you ever been to Hoopfest before? Played? Volunteered?
I have played in just about every Hoopfest since I was old enough to play. The years I did not play, I am always downtown watching friends play and enjoying the environment and weekend. There is something special to being downtown on Hoopfest Weekend.
Why did you choose to intern with Hoopfest?
Growing up in Spokane and knowing about the event, I always wanted to work with the Hoopfest team to learn about all that goes into setting up a large scale event like Hoopfest.
What has been your favorite part since starting your internship with Hoopfest?
The environment has been one of my favorite parts about working for Hoopfest. It is always a fast-paced work environment, which makes it organized chaos sometimes. Still, even when everybody is working hard at their individual tasks, everyone still manages to have a ton of fun doing it.
