What are you future plans?
Growing up only five minutes from Nike World Headquarters, Meg hopes to one day hold a position somewhere in the athletic field.
Outside of school, what do you enjoy doing?
I am on the women’s soccer team at GU so a lot of my time and energy is put into that. Other than that I love being outside. My family and I go on a big rafting/camping trip every year and that is continually a summer highlight for me.
How did you first hear about Hoopfest?
I first heard about Hoopfest my freshman year of college when everyone started asking me if I was going to come back for Hoopfest weekend. The fact that people from Colorado, Oregon and California all come back for a single weekend speaks volumes about the magnitude of the event.
Why did you choose to intern with Hoopfest?
I chose to intern with Hoopfest because it’s such a huge event and I wanted to get involved with it one way or another. Being able to get involved while also learning some of the marketing ropes from Bailee was really great.
What has been your favorite part since starting your internship with Hoopfest?
I really enjoyed the environment. It’s so cool seeing how a staff of six and thousands of volunteers can pull off an event like Hoopfest. All in all I’m so thankful for the relationships I made and the lessons I learned throughout the semester.
