Planning Your Transit with STA and UBER

With a quarter of a million people flooding into Downtown Spokane this weekend, make sure you plan your transportation accordingly.

The City of Spokane Transit system provides transportation from east, north and south Spokane to downtown on Hoopfest Weekend. The Hoop Loop runs from Jefferson and 1st to the Washington State Riverpoint Campus lots. The lots are located at the Riverpoint Campus off of Spokane Falls Blvd. and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The price is $1.50 for an All-Day Pass and buses will be arriving and departing every ten minutes. The STA is also providing regular bus service at an alternate downtown boarding location of Second Avenue and Howard Street, as well as from popular Park & Ride lots at Hastings, the Valley Transit Center, Mirabeau Point and the South Hill Park & Ride lots. UBER and Spokane Hoopfest have also partnered together to provide transportation on Hoopfest Weekend. With UBER pickup locations at Bernard and Riverside, Main and Lincoln and at Howard and Cataldo, getting to and from Hoopfest will be a breeze. Additionally, make sure you download the UBER app. When using the UBER app, you are able to use the Spokane Hoopfest promo code: HOOPFEST2016. For every time this code gets used over the weekend, UBER will donate $1 to Spokane Hoopfest. This donation will be put back into the Spokane community through Hoopfest’s charitable partners.
