Spokane Hoopfest Wins a New Site and Facilities Manager

SPOKANE, Washington – November 17, 2014 – Rob Davis has been named Site/Facilities Manager for Spokane Hoopfest, taking over for Randy Smith, who will be retiring at the end of the year.

Rob Davis is not a newcomer when it comes to Hoopfest. As the Hoopfest Broadcast Manager at Nike Center Court, as well as having been the Center Court Coordinator for the organization’s other events, Davis will be able to jump into this new position with great experience and provide comprehensive hands-on-knowledge.

“Davis radiates passion and dedication as a Spokane Hoopfest Sub-Committee Member and Spokane AAU volunteer for years,” says former Hoopfest Site/Facilities Manager, Randy Smith, “and we are excited to have him join the team.”

Some other highlights of Davis’ career include the ABC Network Pool Satellite Truck Coordinator & Operator for the NCAA Men’s Regional Basketball Tournaments and the KXLY Broadcast Production Coordinator for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Davis is eager to use his skills in project management, site management , event production and team leadership, to contribute to the future success of Spokane Hoopfest and all of its programs.

“The Hoopfest site is tremendously crucial to the success of the event,” says Executive Director, Matt Santangelo, “and to have someone who has the passion, technical skills, and the experience of Rob Davis, sets up Hoopfest to continue to be successful long into the future.”
