Washington Trust Bank Provides FanFest Experience

Washington Trust Bank has been part of the fabric of Spokane for the past 144 years. Now, after being a faithful sponsor of Spokane Hoopfest for the past 26 years, they look to add more fabric by providing the first ever FanFest experience for the fans that attend THE ALUMNI GAME. “From the event’s beginnings in 1990, we’ve always appreciated how Hoopfest unifies and celebrates the Spokane community,” says Camden Covey, one of the bank’s PR employees, “When we heard about the new FanFest and Alumni game, we jumped at the chance to build on the tradition of one of Spokane’s most beloved events.”

They are familiar with Spokane’s beloved events because as the oldest and largest privately-held commercial bank in the Northwest, Washington Trust Bank is deeply rooted in the communities they serve. “We’ve built our reputation on a tradition of creating strong, long-lasting relationships, and as an independent bank, our only interest is in doing right by our clients,” says Covey. They strongly believe that any successes they’ve had are attributed to the support of the community, and to have the opportunity to give back is a privilege. Washington Trust Bank will always be dedicated to supporting the organizations, partners and people that call Spokane home.

That being said, Washington Trust Bank has a great line up of events. At this year’s FanFest, you can expect to see a bouncy house, a face-painting booth, life-size games such as Connect Four, Tumbling Tower, Snakes and Ladders and more family-friendly activities. In addition to FanFest, Washington Trust is also sponsoring a basketball court in the tournament where they plan to cheer on their employees and their families as they battle it out on the asphalt.

Make sure you follow them on social media for a chance to win additional prizes including a VIP Hoopfest experience. Enter for a chance to snag VIP tickets to THE ALUMNI GAME, a one-night stay at the Davenport Grand, an autographed basketball and more. Contests are live now at @watrustbank on Instagram and @watrust on Twitter.

As we mentioned, The ALUMNI GAME will be taking place on Friday June 24, at the Spokane Convention Center. This inaugural event will be bringing in former Gonzaga University Men’s Basketball players to compete against each other to tip off Hoopfest Weekend. Activities will include a skills challenge, three-point contest and slam-dunk exhibition. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the game begins at 7 p.m., with a portion of the proceeds from the event going to the Boys & Girls Club of Spokane County and Hoopfest’s own youth outreach program, Ignite Basketball Association.
