Built in 1908, The Paulsen Center is one of Spokane’s most historic buildings. In years past, tenants have ranged from doctors to attorneys and, of course, now Spokane Hoops Association!
In a building filled with many traditions, one of the most recent is the Door Decorating Contest. Starting four years ago, each tenant of the building has adorned their door with holiday-themed ornaments and knickknacks. Outside vendors then judge each door, with prizes being given to first, second and third places.
Office Administrator Keli Riley, along with her mother and sister, assembled the Spokane Hoops Association door decorations this year. Running from store to store to put the final touches together, Keli discussed how important holiday traditions are to her family.
“Before we open presents, my dad plays the guitar. He makes up a whole song about everyone in the family. I think everyone needs traditions to bring people together, and give them something to look forward to.”
We are loving our new home here in The Paulsen Center. Come check us out!
